Qyzqaras FIlm Festival

Qyzqaras is Central Asia's first women's film festival, dedicated to supporting women directors. The festival's visual identity is built around the male gaze, the female gaze, and the breaking of the fourth wall. I joined in 2024 as a junior graphic designer and was promoted to lead motion designer for the 2025 edition. Across both editions I have produced 20 motion pieces and 183 graphic visuals.

For the
2024 edition I led the graphic side: adapting the festival poster across Citix billboards, cinema screens, and the Kino.kz platform, producing the in-cinema motion poster shown before every screening, and shipping around 160 graphic pieces per month during the active campaign, from Instagram posts and stories to brochure editions and typographical visuals.

For the
2025 edition I focused entirely on motion. I translated the central plasticine metaphor, women's imagery sculpted by the male gaze, into the motion poster, animated the manifesto, and edited 9 trailers and adapted motion to outdoor billboards.
